Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - Episode 16 Review

After a really 'meh' episode, Agents of SHIELD pulls us back into the plot that has actually been engaging this series, with SHIELD on the hunt for Deathlok, AKA Mike Peterson, who is now under the influence of the mysterious Clairvoyant.
The opening shows Garett and Triplett having a quick face-off with Deathlok, quickly defeating their enemy. Mike Peterson is then given a package, which he opens up to find a new weapon for him. Deathlok himself looks pretty awesome (and I'm betting an action figure will come one day), but it's a shame that this only has the budget of a TV series, as he probably would look even more awesome otherwise.
SHIELD's hunt goes badly, but they soon find their enemy in an abandoned racing track. Just as they are about to find him though, they find...the Clairvoyant. Throughout the episode Skye is trying to work out who the Clairvoyant is and how they have access to so much information, and that leads them straight to the Clairvoyant himself - a man who is on life support and has to talk through a computer. After a long, threatening speech, Ward shoots him dead and SHIELD leaves the hunt.
However, Skye quickly realises that something isn't right, and her and Coulson realise how the Clairvoyant has access to his information - from the SHIELD database! Therefore the Clairvoyant must be an agent of SHIELD...
Meanwhile, Fitz is about to use the secure SHIELD line when he finds it is hooked up to the cockpit, where May is! She is a traitor, and may well be the Clairvoyant! (Bad pun.) Anyway, the episode ends on a cliff-hanger as Agent Hand takes control of the Bus and orders everyone but Coulson to be killed...
While the action in this episode hasn't been as good as previous episodes, it was still quite cool and the twists and revelations made for great viewing. Skye's role lately seems to have been very small, so I'm hoping she will get a larger role being a SHIELD agent now. Also, Agent Sitwell goes off for a mission on the Lemurian Star (cue Captain America: The Winter Soldier reference). Interesting...
If there is one word to call this series, it's engaging. The twists work well, even if many are clichéd and I feel that the series will improve given the fact that after this episode (in theory) everyone should know the secret behind SHIELD...
Overall, it was an enjoyable episode if a little underwhelming in places. 8/10
