Terminator: Genisys (2015) - TRAILER REACTION

I don't usually do trailer reactions on this site, and certainly not usually late ones, but I feel this is a trailer I want to make an Editorial about.
My knowledge of the Terminator franchise is limited to Terminator 2: Judgement Day only, and while that was a fantastic film, my interest in seeing the original film and sequels has peaked only recently. In fact, it wasn't that long ago when I realized just how good Judgement Day is, so when the trailer was released for Genisys, I really wasn't sure what to expect.
While Genisys does seem to bear a strong similarity to Judgement Day from the trailer, it does also incorperate elements of the original movie, only this time with a twist. It follows the story that John Connor - leader of the human resistance against the Skynet-created machines the Terminators - sends his friend Kyle Reese back in time to, what I presume is, 1984 to protect his mother Sarah from a T-800 (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger). However, when Kyle arrives he realizes that something has gone wrong. Sarah Connor is not the helpless mother of John who is completely oblivious as to how important she is, but has been trained from a young girl by a T-800. Not only this, but the older T-800 killed the younger T-800 and now a T-1000 has been sent back to kill Sarah before she gives birth to John - the only chance humanity has of ending the war.
While it does take a bit of inspiration from 2009's Star Trek with the reboot-but-still-a-sequel concept, it worked there and it works here (even if Star Trek and Into Darkness were pretty bad films). Its great to see the T-800 and T-1000 recreated with modern technology, and those Terminator robots in the future looks fantastic. Jai Courtney looks good as Kyle, even if he isn't at all like the original actor, Jason Clarke should make a great John Connor but Emilia Clarke seems a little off as Sarah. She doesn't seem right to me, but hopefully I'll be proved wrong. Arnold is great as always, the new T-1000 looks awesome (that spear scene!!!) and Matt Smith...well, he barely appeared in the trailer except for being in the background, so I don't know what to say about him.
Well, I;m certainly interested in this film.
Terminator: Genisys is released Summer 2015.
