Doctor Who: Listen (Series 8, Episode 4) - MINI-REVIEW

For those wondering what the Danny Pink criticism is, well, put simply: Danny Pink is a boring, poorly-written and bland character, underplayed almost to death by Samuel Anderson, who seems to be so one-note that its a wonder that this guy got hired as Danny, let alone as a teacher! He is the weak link with the restaurant scenes, and I feel with better writing on his part (and maybe some of the contrived lines from Clara) and with an actor that at least had charm, I wouldn't mind those scenes at all. Its weird as he makes a much better Orson Pink than Danny and even the child actor playing the young Danny/Rupert is much better! Even when Clara was being bland or inconsistent, at least Jenna Coleman gave her more life and personality as well as making Clara likable, Samuel Anderson just brings nothing to a role that is as bland as hell. I do not look forward to seeing Danny Pink again, and I hope he leaves the series or drastically improves as soon as possible.

But yeah, other than that, I really liked the episode.
